Tom Tucker

Biography
Tom Tucker has dedicated 39 years to public education, serving as band and orchestra director for 24 years before becoming principal of an urban high school. He became Superintendent of Sandusky City Schools in 2010 during the economic downturn and has also served as Superintendent of Lorain City Schools. Tucker currently teaches part-time at Cleveland State University while remaining active in community service. He brings extensive experience with government policies, procedures, funding mechanisms, budgets, taxes, and grants. Tucker has been married to his wife Diane for 47 years, and they have a daughter Amy who works in Columbus and was a member of the Ohio State marching band from 2005 to 2010.
