Biography

Timothy A. Schwanger was born and raised in Sandusky, graduating from Sandusky High School in 1976. He has followed Sandusky government for 33+ years, beginning with the Waterfront Watch Fellows in 1988. Schwanger has served on three city commission-appointed committees, most recently the 2025 Charter Review Committee. He is self-funding his campaign and holds no ties to special interests, bringing an independent voice focused on neighborhood investment and fiscal accountability. His approach: "I'm not going to be afraid to vote no on something that I think is not in the best interests of the citizens of Sandusky as a whole."
