About Us
Building trust through transparent reporting and innovative tools for the Sandusky community
Our Purpose
Greater access to accurate and relevant information builds trust within the community and creates positive change. For the Sandusky Current, this comes through clear and transparent reporting. But that is just part of our story. We are an innovation-focused news platform that is continually developing tools and strategies to deliver better and faster access to information and an enhanced experience for our readers.
Editorial Approach
The Sandusky Current is a community-driven platform where much of our content comes from community members who write on topics they're passionate about. This creates richer coverage and amplifies diverse voices from across Sandusky.
Additionally, we take local government, school, and event reporting seriously. When there are two sides to a story (there usually are), we seek to provide a balance between the different viewpoints and provide sources for readers to do their own research.

Now, I'm channeling all of that experience into something I'm truly passionate about: creating a news platform for Sandusky that approaches our community with openness and curiosity.
I believe local journalism should spark genuine conversation and help us understand our city and each other better. That's what drives the Sandusky Current, and I'm excited to be on this journey with you.
