Biography

Michael D. Kaufman is a lifelong Sandusky resident and practicing attorney since 1998. He is a 1989 graduate of Sandusky High School and earned both his Bachelor of Science degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo. For the last 28 years, Kaufman has been a partner at Kaufman & Kaufman, Co., LPA. His practice consists of general civil litigation, domestic relations, criminal defense, estate planning and probate, land transactions, and municipal representation. He regularly represents both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation and has handled thousands of criminal matters as either prosecutor or defense counsel. Kaufman is married to Sarah Kaufman and they have three children: Braden, Cameron, and Reagan. His extensive connections to Sandusky, Perkins Township, and the Villages of Bay View and Castalia complement his life experiences and unique understanding of the needs of the community and the local judicial system.
